High-Performance Tracking for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell System PEMFC Using Model Predictive Control

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell has recently attracted broad attention from many researchers due to its cleanliness, high efficiency and soundless operation. The obtention of high-performance output characteristics is required overcome the market restrictions PEMFC technologies. Therefore, main aim this work maintain system operating point at an adequate efficient power stage with tracking. To end, a model predictive control (MPC) based on global minimum cost function for two-step horizon was designed implemented in boost converter integrated system. An experimental comparative study been investigated between MPC PI controller reveal merits proposed technique. Comparative results have indicated that reduction 15.65% 86.9%, respectively, overshoot response time could be achieved using suggested structure.
